Really work?

I'm serious.... live in Missouri and wanting to slowly
go off grid even while living in an apartment

Seems to me the fridge is first and best place to start

It may work, it may have some place in life, but I'd have to think it is the
most inconvenient refrigerator you'd ever use. A chest layout is just not
very user friendly storing typical refrigerated items.
