Default Green Bean Storage

I have around 75 lbs of green beans at home that I roast in my 1 lb
roaster. Does anyone have suggestions as to the best way to store
these beans? I do not want to keep them open for fear of some possible
insect infestation, but I do not want to seal them in something like
Tupperware for fear of rotting.

TIA,
Tim

Well Tim, you can keep your beans in their bag in a dark-dry place,
never on the floor. It is easy to keep green beans, don't worry.

As wholesellers, we keep them in the same bags they come and we almost
never have any troubles.

Regards from Mexico,

Alex.:

Try keeping them at a stable temperature, around the 20 C mark is ok, or slightly cooler if you can. Humidity levels of 40-50 % is ok, again, stable is the clue. Away from sunshine and heaters, airtight only if you can guarantee that no moisture will build up. Your beans should be fine for 8-9 months after picking!
