No, not a calendar made of chocolate, but a 2006 desk calendar with some fact or comment
about chocolate each day. Here are some favourites: "Forget love...I'd rather fall in chocolate." - Anonymous "There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with chocolate." - Linda Grayson "Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands and then eat just one of the pieces." - Judith Viorst "Nobody knows the truffles I've seen." - Anonymous "I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter." - Anonymous "Liquidium mon frangit jejunum." ([Chocolate] liquids, ... do not constitute a break in fasting.) - Cardinal Francis Maria, Brancaccio of the Vatican in 1962 "1932 (the Mars bar) and 1937 (the Kit Kat) - these dates are milestones in history and should be seared into the memory of every child in the country." - Roald Dahl "I probably have some sort of chocolate five times a week. There's definitely a change it does to the chemistry of the body. It's my favorite feeling. I live for it." - John Travolta "Chocolate is always there for you when you don't have anyone's shoulder to cry on." - Anonymous "There's more to life than chocolate, but not right now." - Anonymous "Chocolate is nature's way of making up for Mondays." - Anonymous "Nuts just take up space where chocolate ought to be." - Anonymous In 2000, Michael Douglas arrived at the maternity ward with a large box of chocolates for his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. She was hoping to shed weight and became very upset. My favourite so far is today's: "Put the chocolate in the bag and nobody gets hurt." - Anonymous David |
