Hi Folks,
excuse the intrusion from a former usenet regular, I'm just trying to let foodies & beery-bods know about this (non-profit) food festival, farmers' market & mini beer-fest. The beer marquee(*) will include 20+ cooled cask beers from most of the local craft-brewers, including newcomers Spitting Feathers (nr Chester), Station House (Ellesmere Port) & my own Betwixt Beer Co (Wirral - 'betwixt' Mersey & Dee). - www.betwixtbeer.co.uk (+ Canavan's, Geo Wright, Wapping/BalticFleet, Cain's, CoachHouse & Northern) Free entry to festival, small charge for beer glass. (*) Well, the Wirral *is* known as 'the posh part' of Merseyside - we wouldn't have a beer tent ;~) Cheers, MikeMcG. (PS the deja email doesn't work, but the one on the betwixt site will) __________________________________________________ ___________________________ More info, directions, producers list, etc from the website - www.wirralfoodfestival.co.uk Such as . . . The first ever Wirral Food and Drink Festival aims to promote the fantastic Home Grown range of restaurants, bars, farm shops, specialist producers, award-winning chefs etc. available regionally. The Festival will be held at picturesque Claremont Farm in Spital on Sunday August 27th (10am-5pm) and Monday August 28th(10am-4pm) over the Bank Holiday weekend. Special events celebrating all things Home Grown will also be held in the run up to the Festival around Wirral. * Around 50 producers offering some of the best food, drink and Home Grown products from around the region * a specialist beer marquee * chef demonstrations * question and answer sessions with producers and chefs * live entertainment including live local radio broadcast and local bands * children's teddy bear picnic in aid of Claire House Hospice and much, much, more . . . |
