You're more likely to come across it, on the East Coast, at least, in the
"Hispanic" section of your local supermarket on the bottom shelf. Usually,
one or two brands- GOYA in a 7 oz. 10 pack or long neck 12 oz. individual
bottles the most common. I saw some sort of "premium" brand last time I
dusted off the bottles...

(Supposedly the core business at The Lion (Stegmaier) brewery).


Yup, they brew a LOT of malta, and not just for Goya. It's brewed, it "ages"
for 24 hours, and it gets bottled (I think they pasteurize it, too). Easy
money for a brewery.
