Default Samuel Smith Winter Welcome Ale at LCBO

A heads up to those in Ontario, or bordering provinces and states: I
purchased Samuel Smith Winter Welcome Ale at my local LCBO on the weekend.

Any idea how old that beer is? This year's batch has been on the market
for at least three months now.

It says 2004-2005 at the top of the label, but there is no more precise
date, nor is there a best-before date. It's not the domestic UK version
of the label either, because it has the "Merchant du Vin" address on it.
I gather that Merchant du Vin is the sole agent in the USA. In any
case, it tasted just fine.
