Default Schmidt.

Just started drinking this because it is easily available to me and
cheap. Not too bad, no worse than Budweiser and probably less alcohol.

I am curious about sources of information about this beer on the web.
Can't track it down. Company name is "Heileman Brewing Co." Owned by
Stroh at one time or another. I can't find a website for the current
owner. Thanks for any info.

http://www.pabst.com/ourbeer.htm#

Owned by Pabst, probably brewed by Miller. There were actually two
different Schmidt brewering companies, one in Minnesota, one in
Philadelphia (known as Schmidt's of Philadelphia). Both brand
eventually wound up in the Heileman stable, then went to Stroh and then
to Pabst and along the way they were sort of "merged" into one brand-
that is, the "great Northwest" labeled one turned up on the East Coast.
