Todays Pittsburgh Post-Gazette "North Section" related that the Harmony Inn
in Harmony, PA, located around thirty miles north of Pittsburgh, will be opening a brewpub in the near future. Harmony is a town settled by the Harmonists, and has a number of German style celebrations, so one would suppose they would brew German style beers. See below link to article ( I am not sure how long the link will be active). I believe the Harmony Inn has a website. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04095/294706.stm Tom Bates. |

See below link to article ( I am not sure how long the link will be active). I believe the Harmony Inn has a website. I reported on this about 8 months ago. They're nice guys, and seem to know something about beer, but... I first reported on Bube's Brewery wanting to put in a brewpub in 1996, first saw something about it in the local paper in 1994. They finally started brewing in 2001. Sometimes it takes a while! Meanwhile...anyone heard anything about the brewpub that's supposed to be opening fairly soon in Slippery Rock? -- Lew Bryson www.LewBryson.com Author of "New York Breweries" and "Pennsylvania Breweries," 2nd ed., both available at www.amazon.com The Hotmail address on this post is for newsgroups only: I don't check it, or respond to it.
