Default Looking for help!

I posted this in another beer N/G,so it may sound familiar.

About two weeks ago I set up a new home draft system,& cannot get the
beer to settle down.

It is a new fridge, holds two 1/4 barrels, drink one ,keep one cold. My
friend gave me the barrel tap,it was clean,& I cleaned it again, same
with the dispenser valve. All new hose &,what appears to be a good
working regulator.

Regulator set on only 1# & the beer comes out wild & foamy. Raise it up
to 5# & it will knock the glass from my hand.

The beer taste great, but it's a pain in the a%%,when all I get is foam.

Any help greatly appreciated!!!
Ron

I've had the regulator for sometime,it was used on a portable system
where it worked fine,& it seems to be "regulating" ok now! As far as I
adjust it up & the pressure goes up, turn it down & the pressure comes
down? & I can't see what could be wrong with the barrel tap or faucet,
all they are is a controlled hole, open or closed!
It's got me baffled ??????????????

The line is six feet long, with no sharp bends or kinks.
Could the hook-up be backwards, at the barrel tap, the beer comes out
the top? & the C02 goes in the side?
It has to be something weird, cause I'm only showing under 1# on the
regulator & the beer is wild!!!! 2/3rds foam & 1/3rd beer. Small
glass,lg glass or even a pitcher, it doesn't matter.
Thanks for the reply!!!--------Ron
