It's bracingly bitter. Beautifully hoppy. Nicely dry. IIRC,

I found the 97 Bf to be similarly lovely. The intervening years, though,
eh. Discuss.

I'm really liking this years batch. I don't detect a radical change. Seems
like Bigfoot to me. I've got 2001, 2002 and 2003 years to sample alongside
it, but of course they changed character with age and the hoppy blast is
subdued. Personally, I like my Bigfoot fresh.

I tasted it for the first time this year so I couldn't relate a comparison
to other years but I really enjoyed the 2004 and will now be buying more
each year. I like the big hoppy finish and the alcohol bite. How long have
they been making Bigfoot? Since SN has been open?

I didn't like it as much when I first bought it, but after not tasting any
for a month or two I had some again and it was pretty amazing. I don't
tend to notice much difference between fresh samples of each year, so best
ever, eh, who can tell.

Dan Iwerks thinks that the beer you're drinking probably sucks.
The fundamental problem with Solipsism is it makes me
responsible for the fact that you're a complete idiot.

I still have some 2000 and 2001 in the fridge to try it against sometime,
but I can't remember ever being as awed by a huge, overwhelming river of
exploding black-liquorice like this one is.
