Hi,
Trying to discover the name of the lager advertised on T.V. in the mid to late 70's in the UK that used a rewording of an old drinking song that mentions "Abdul Abulbul Amir" & "Ivan Skavinsky Skavar" as the lyric. Any ideas... TIA --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.564 / Virus Database: 356 - Release Date: 19/01/2004 |

Any ideas... Yes, I remember the ad... Can't remember what it was for though :-) This is the old story with beer advertising (at least in the UK), the ads are much, much better than the beers they're promoting. That's an interesting site. It's a pity they don't have the extremely unfortunate 'Watch the pounds drop away with Ayds' ad from the 70s (Ayds was a brand of diet biscuits which disappeared in the early 80s for some reason).
