Just saw this in our local newspaper today. They are moving in a
space once occupied by the All Star Cafe in the heart of the downtown business district. Should be open by next summer. It will be the first Paulaner Brauhaus in the USA, and the reason Atlanta was picked was because " of the high number of metro residents who frequently dine out". So it looks like a restaurant first, brauhaus second. The American partner has had a few successes in the restaurant business, and the German partner managed 600 Paulaner restaurants in Germany. Will be interesting to see how they do here. Within a 2 block area there was a Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and All Star Cafe. Only the Hard Rock remains. Most Atlantans leave the downtown area after 5pm for the conventioneers and tourists. But I will definitely check them out when they open! Now if Augustiner wanted to open a place here.....then I would be in heaven! Here is the link: http://www.ajc.com/today/content/epa...e31ea0013.html Sean |
