Injecting vs brining by

This year, I plan to inject my turkey with a mixture of butter and honey
instead of brining. Anyone have any comments either in favor or against

Can mutton be successfully smoked? Since it's tough, with plenty of
connective tissue, I'd expect it might be a candidate for low and slow.
