Here in Las Vegas, we don't really have the neat kinds like
in MO, Texas or the Carolinas. When you're here, try out
Memphis Championship or Salt Lick. Salt Lick is a Texas
transplant that just started here at the new Red Rock Canyon
Station Casino and is now expanding to Sunset Station as
well. Both are good, but not as good as you'd find in a
"barbecue country."

If you're anywhere near Carlsbad, NM, you have GOT to go to Danny's
Place

http://www.dannysbbq.com/restaurant.asp

The webpage hasn't been updated since they re-opened after finally
getting rid of the "Dairy Queen" franchise.

It's on my list of places to visit and things to do.

Oh. THAT Danny. I may have to somehow come up with the shekels to go
there, just to thank him for the great tips and rub recipes I've seen
online.

Yep. *THAT* Danny. Great person. I've not met him, but I did ask a
question on the link of his website. He sent me an e-mail asking for
my phone number. He called, answered my question, then we talked for
about an hour. Seemed like I'd known him for years.
