Default Looking to buy a new grill...

I might get flamed here, but, yeah, it's probably gonna be gas(LP).

Looking to spend in the $400 and under range. I don't have any place I can
store it well out of the weather, and most of the grills I've bought in the
past have lasted me at most 3yrs because of that. So, I don't wanna go
outrageous on price just to have that happen again.

I'm looking to find the highest heat possible, still with good size cooking
surface, multiple burner running front to back. Everything I've had in the
past has been 2 burner, but they run side to side, just front and back
burners, and no way to really use indirect heat that way.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Shawn

Yes. Go to groups.google.com and look up the thread with the same
subject line, which was begun by "43fan" on 8 March 2006. He asked
almost the same question.

But in brief: your grills are lasting only 3 years because you're
buying cheap ones. Lots of people here have good (expensive, yes, but
worth it) ones they've left out in all weather for years and years,
and they're still cooking strong.

Thanks!
Shawn

Um... I'm not sure what you're referring to Denny. It was me that posted
this on March 8, 2006, and that's the thread you're replying to. Care to
explain?

Thanks. Now it only becomes a question of being able to afford this year or
not. I know when I get started seriously looking and ready to buy, what I
"want" won't be in the $400 range, it'll very probably go a few hundred
above that. Not sure if I'll want to settle for less than I want, or go
ahead and splurge.

Thanks!
Shawn

I replied to a specific post--from someone whose newsreader isn't
configured to show quoted text as quoted. So it looked like someone
else asking the same question.

Note that if one makes a new post with the identical subject line of
an existing thread, it'll show up in that thread (depending on
newsreader--some use subject line only, some use the 'reference'
field. Google seems to use subj. line only). I've seen posts that
were 3-5 years apart in time show as being in the same thread, because
their subject lines were identical.

And I never scrolled down far enough to see his

Gotcha... thanks! Oh, and that's probably why the post you replied to isn't
showing as "marked" in my prog. I use OE(I know, most people don't like it,
but I do. *g*) I mark the threads I'm interested in and they appear red.
The one you replied to as well as yours and mine after it, all appear black,
even though they're in the same "tree" heirarchy.
