I went to the Eggtoberfest in Atlanta last weekend, what a blast! 130+
cookers going all day kicking out great food. It was like being at a
giant tailgating party with everyone sharing thier food. -RP

Randy,

I did a brief google search and couldn't come up with a website, do you
know if they have one?

Doesn't appear to be one. Most sites mentioning it point to
www.biggreenegg.com

At these events, does anyone sell food or is it all sharing?
I understod that part of it was a contest as well, is that true?
Sounds like real fun.

No contest that I heard of, BGE supplies the cooker and charcoal and the
cooks bring the food, plates, and whatever else they need. The food is
shared by everyone. It was a lot of fun. You can go to BGE's website
and a lot of photos are posted in the forum section. -RP

The BGE website is www.biggreenegg.com. There is a beta version of
their new site at www.biggreenegg.net. On the beta site you can find
information about the Eggtoberfest. If you read the forum, there are
a lot of posts from attendees with photos, etc.

Nope, no contest. It's all about cooking for fun, showing what the
Egg can do and having a good time.

Yes. Plus there are other Eggfests around the country, too if it is
more convenient. Waldorf, MD in May, Oklahoma in September, Florida
in (I think) March, Texax sometime. If you check the BGE forum
occasionally, you will find the banners and posts about them.

I stopped by on Saturday at the new location as it's two miles away -
to pick up some charcoal - and all I saw was smoke kicking out the
back.

Smelled like a good time anyway...
