Default tips on propane grill - disbursing flames evenly?

I have a propane grill that is not cooking too great. the flame and
heat aren't being disbursed too evenly. It doesn't have any lava rocks
or anything, just the metal deflector it came with. I think I need to
get some bricks or rocks to put in there - can someone give some tips
on this and how to set it up? Thanks

What make and model? Sounds like you need a new burner or the one that
you have needs serious adjustment. Most all of the burners have an air
adjustment "door", check your manual if you can find it. ;-)

If it is a cheap grill, nothing you do is going to help much. It is
designed to use the metal deflector but you may be able to add a grate and
lava rocks, but that is a crap shoot as to how well it will work.

Next time save up and get a better grill. They start at $500 and up. Way
up.

Have some plates made to cover the flames and diffuse the heat. I
have plans available if you are interested.

Gee, try and read this from the top down, as a "normal" person would
read and see if it makes sense.

Or read it the way it was written. If you don't like it don't read my
posts. Please read the subject. You have been warned. If you attack
me I will respond. I wonder how long this will last?

I did asshole.

My guess is that you'll get no replies here as not many people put up
with top-posting jerks who just don't want to respect the accepted
practices of a group. .

You took a comment on a posting style and responded with an ad hominum
attack, so it doesn't matter to me whether or not you bother posting again,
because:

Perhaps you are the only one without enough self control. I would
suggest you stay out of the adult groups, Mommy might notice the
deficiency.

Please don't talk so mean to me, it makes me want to cry.

btw: Have you noticed how well your insipid posts are changing my
behavior?

No, sir it was you who hurled the first insult saying my post sucked,
That is what prompted my reply. If you had not added that comment I
would not have replied. Note there is no insult in this message. Let
it go and I will as well.
