Holy crap Archie! Is that the best y'all can do. Ya come here onto this BBQ
NG and all you can do is tell us all the best Q you ever ate is at the
Golden Rule in Irondale Alabama? Arndale?

C'mon, man. I bet you think that's actually the *original* Golden Rule,
doncha? Well, genius, if you'd just open your eyes as you drive by the
Hoover Alabama location you'll notice the sign says *they're* the Original!
now I bet you're confused aren't ya? In fact...you could drive by any one of
half a dozen Golden Rules and they *all* say they're the Original. It'll
really mess a guy up if he doesn't actually know what's what. Its kinda like
that "which cup is the ball under" routine they pull on the streets of New
York City ain't it? Well buster....I bet you're even an Auburn fan and you
ain't never had a goddamned rib from Dreamland.

Hell....you probably eat at Sonny's.

Matter of fact, though, golden Rule just might *be* the best Q around. Too
bad Ollie's is gone.

Damn, man. I can tell by your accent you prolly live in Georgia. Atlanta I'd
guess.g

Oh............really? Well if Jims got it I'm gonna have to open a pack and
try it.

As for Archie...........well everybody say hello. He's a good friend of mine
but I ain't claimin' him. He can be a bit unpredictable, and his typin'
skills are worse than mine when he's been drinkin'. He a dyed in the wool
Bama fan, not that any of you care, and he sends me good Q sauce on a
regular basis. He does *not*, however, send me Absinthe. I repeat....Archis
does *not* *ever* send me small bottles of absinthe that he gets in other
countries. In fact, I've never even seen any Absinthe....ever.

To the real topic at hand. I have a 16lb brisket in the fridge and I'll be
cookin that next week. 2 8lb butts for this weekend. Flame on!

If you're in B'ham, go to Miss Myra's. Beats the heck out of Golden
Rule.
