Should I top post? Hmm No. Maybe use outlook? Hmm No again.
Oh Oh I know I should use Forte. Hmmm NOT.
Just like a Lib. to think everything they do is correct and everybody else is wrong.

Go ahead and put me on you KF. I've been on usenet much longer than you & your kind
that have been spouting socialism and bio ethics .

It's funny how these freaks want to KF others who don't agree with there sick ideas.

I do have to say that this thing has gone way off topic.
I apologize to the orig. poster since I allowed
myself to be sucked into resonding to a liberal looser who should just leave our country.

Rarely have I seen so much pig-headed ignorance expressed in so few

Yet you still haven't figured out how to configure your newsreader so
it quotes properly. Kind of a slow learner, eh?

As for your claim of longevity, I'll bet you also make scads of money,
drive a very expensive car, and have a large American penis. There. I
saved you the trouble of crowing about all three.

Was it a contest? And is anyone winning while you show off YOUR beliefs?
BTW, it was Matthew Martin, not I, that started this crap.

Ah, the expected attack on my assumed information sources. There is a wealth
of information that has little to do with the crap you've spewed. And there
are many folks, by virtue of past associations and work with the agencies
talked about, who have a knowledge base that is hardly dependent on media.

Life long registered Republican, but thinks GW is a disgrace to his

brothers.

Let's ask you your own question "did anyone "win" the last go around where
you showed off your
beliefs?"

The funny thing is, it is folks like you and Martin who have to turn
everything into politics, yet you run squeeeeeling like pigs to the
slaughter when confronted.

Bet you're up on most "talking points" and can regurgitate the party line on
Swift Boat Vets, SSI, why AARP is such a bad group, how Cindy is a lesbian
communist amerika-hater and why Rove is blemish free in regards to the
Wilson/Plame affair and why, oh why is he being persecuted?

You about got them all, but shouldn't you have left room for equating
stem-cell researchers with abortionists?

The problem with that Dave is I don't hate America. I grew up with American
bases around and half my family is American. I live in Canada and have
worked side by side with Americans in the oil fields. I'm afraid some of
those people leave you with much the same impression as orientals in that
you don't really work with them as much as hinder them like dirt on their

"Those types of posts never resolve, regardless of how successful the

No they don't. I understand The looting and violence is much worse now in
New Orleans. Why is that? Why can the military pinpoint any place on earth
and execute a plan to kill, but it can't execute a plan to save your own
people in your own backyard.

KFing someone is a perfectly acceptable rhetorical method, whether it has
your stamp of approval or not."

Yes, and poking your head in the sand is good too. Look at it this way:
Like it or not we are part of America, North America, and we're a lot like
you people down there except we don't have the pressures you do. We're
concerned, Dave, that you people have actually gone right around the bend
and aren't acting on this disaster because of the colour of the people
mostly left behind and you president likes the high price of oil right now.
If you gave us free passage, our Canadian military do build and teach
economics to the poor and downtrodden. We could be there in a day.

Because they are not supposed to. It is up to you to learn why if you

Nonsense, warriors are more than killing machines. If what you say is true,
you should be firing whoever cut their orders. I can see you're the
southern trash my cousins speak of. You're all insular and hillbillie-like.
US politics are world politics.

And what pivotal event took place to establish this precedent?

Now we digress to topic ranging from globalization to re-writing the
Constitution.

If what you say is true,
you should be firing whoever cut their orders.

"The Constitution grants to Congress the power to raise and support
armies and a navy, to suppress insurrections, and repel invasion among
other military-related governmental roles" via a cornell link

Just a primer. As was witnessed in the fall of Rome, the ability of a
large standing army to coerce politics and oppress the citizens was
recongnized. The intent of the Framers was to breakup the command so
that the State has authority of it's militia. Should the Republic be
threatened, Congress had the power to call up the the State militias
under the command of the President as Commander in Chief (of all). This
was the original intent but has changed over time. Multiple C/NCs were
seen as presiding commanders over a particular region and now they are
nonexistant as per Homeland Security.

Simply, military: good for defense, bad for policing. This day an age is
no different from 60 years ago (however we would like to think so).
People can be corrupt and limits are inplace to try to stop it from
destroying the country.

That is why the State was urged to use the National Guard. Likewise, if
we were to devote Federal troops to the situation, we would have opened
a door for a terrorist strike to occur. This would be a great time for
one of the k00ks to strike.

I can see you're the
southern trash my cousins speak of. You're all insular and hillbillie-like.

The context of this is confusing (or all inclusive). Are you commenting
on an isolationalist mentality or unsophisticaed? I'd also love to know
your definition of "hillbillie-like" and how it implies anything in
regard to your argument.

Just like this one is in quotation, those others are also in quotation. The
person in quotes is who I'm responding to. Which buttons get rid of the
arrows? I haven't had a complaint with this technique in five years on
usenet.

"Ah, rhetoric, thy use is hyperbolic."

Not a chance. We have a stadium in this city, St. John's, that was built as
a war memorial by the citizens and the American service men. That memorial
park is now being turned into a big box store. The mutual kindness between
Newfoundlanders and Americans goes way back before the Canadians ever came
into the picture.

"It has to do with global warming and interference with migration patterns."

No, it has to do with the way they're treated by authorities.

"We talk about it all the time. We are trying to keep the flood of illegals
out."

Yah gotta admit that your rich are only half hearted about losing that cheap
labour. Seriously though, we import cheap labour the same way for shitty
jobs, but I'm talking about property owning and tax paying citizens who
don't like where their country is headed. I'm talking about people who've
lived their lives in the states but prefer the atmosphere here. Hey, thirty
million long standing Democrats to the north of you can't be all wrong.

"Uh, huh. Oh, and the phrase "Brother Country" is catchy, too."

Well, sorry if my sentimentality gets the best of me, but with so many
relatives there... No, Damn it! That may be part of it for me personally,
but you won't find too many Canadians who don't feel Americans are family.

"That should state "defense of my country"."

I ain't attacking your country. I am attacking your policies.

"And your children are just so very important to me, I think our country
should do whatever it takes to make your children see us the way you belive
we should be."

All children are important, Dave. They're much more important than you or
me, but I only brrought the children into it to show the time span I see.

"Gee, you'd hate to know what my children think of our Northern Funny Uncle.
Hmm... actually, they don't think of you folks at all. Wow."

In fact, that isn't really true in my case, but you should be ashamed to
flaunt such astounding ignorance.

"You really are a strange person. But of course,we're not as experienced at
rescuing hurricane stranded folks as Canada."

We have a fifty-six second response time to that Air France near tragedy
last month. When the Red Deer River flooded, troops were ther the next day.

"I guess in your world view of things massive numbers of people --- all of
whom, btw, ignored the warnings to move out of the area --- stranded.over a
massive territory that has had all infrastructure destroyed, could be
rescued immediately."

No Dave, for the past week many people fled, but many couldn't. Tell me,
are the people in the hospitals included in your assessment. Were the poor
included? You people could've had the busses lined off for many who're
stuck there. BTW, we've offered help and have been snarled in your
government's wish to do this themselves. I guess we could be like the Japs
and send a check, but that seems less than genuine.

"I wish we were as good as you. I guess I'll move to Canada, ya just never
know when rescuing from a hurricane might be necessary."

Now you see, this is exactly the iisufferable arrogance of you people. It
is pointed out that you're faltering and assistance is offered, but you
people always have to be the biggest, bestest and the brbightest and you
quite simply aren't. You skoff at the idea of brbrotherhood while paying
lip service to it in your hunt for Bin Laden. Meanwhile, your bestest and
brightest with your "buns laden" sit at home and skoff.

"The Red Cross doesn't exist in Canada?"

We had a Red Cross before you Americans. I guess that's your sarcastic way
of looking for that check, eh?

"A good deal of "what" people? And when these people get here, just what is
it that they are going to do?"

Our people would do what they're trained to do, save lives.

"And how are they going to get in the affected areas?"

Engineers carry bridges with them. Our navy is smaller but better trained
for this sort of thing. We train killers who can act as police and rescue,
you're crow is that your military isn't for that.

"And what are they going to do then. Heck, send 'em down, the border is
still open, ain't it?"

Nope, not really, but we've made offers if you check the day's news. I
guess you'll all laugh and threaten to whomp our little Canadian military
now, but we've offered.

"What's stopping you from putting your money where your mouth is?"

Our money is always where our mouth is to when family is concerned. Even
when that family is insufferably arrogant and unthankful. Nonetheless, this
is the last political post I'm gonna make here. I'm here for the barbeque.
I've learned a lot from this group and I'm keepin' my fires lit.
