Mom made a Costco run. I asked her to get a couple of things for me
while she was there. Somehow she felt I also needed a 1/2 gallon of honey. There is no friken way I will eat that much toast. Any ideas? I use both a Weber bullet and kettle. Can you freeze honey? |

Any ideas? You can use a little up in jerky. Another use is a great sauce for pulled pork: 1/3 honey 1/3 mustard 1/3 cider vinegar glazed ham or pork loin I use both a Weber bullet and kettle. Can you freeze honey? No need to freeze. Honey is nearly immortal as long as you don't dilute it. -- Matthew I'm a contractor. If you want an opinion, I'll sell you one. Which one do you want? |

I've never seen honey crystallize around the top, but I have seen it crystallize in the bottom of a container. In fact, I've seen a whole quart of honey crystallize almost entirely. -- Stan Marks A waist is a terrible thing to mind. |

I just saw on TV that the microwave is good for melting crystals in honey as well as heating on the stove or even in a warm oven. I wouln't want to get it too hot though. -- The Brick said that (Don't bother to agree with me, I have already changed my mind.) ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

I have also reheated honey to desolve the crystalization in a Microwave...
just make sure the opening of the jar is as wide as the rest of the jar, or else you take the chance of the jar either exploding, or breaking as a minimum. Microwave heating has it's place, but the container shape is pretty important. Bob "Brick" wrote in message ... Add some to bbq sauce if you like it on the sweeter side. Make a glaze of honey and mustard and paint it on ribs just before taking them off the smoker. Toasted rye bread, butter, drizzled with honey and a cup of tea. Great meal. |
