: My son and I are going to Memphis for BBQ in May. Could someone please tell me where it would be better to stay? South of 240 near the airport - or- East of 240 Save yourself a few $$$ and stay in West Memphis. You'll only be 5-10 minutes from Downtown Memphis and your rooms will be 1/2 or less what comparable rooms would cost in Memphis. |

If not, there is a Hampton Inn on Poplar Ave that is inside the 240 loop that I always suggest to people that has a great location and you are not stuck all the way out east. I will give you some recommendations if you want to stay downtown, but as you know--- it will be around $150/night. Matthew |
