Default Twas a strange December Weekend

Twas a strange December weekend
and I was out at the store
Walking the meat isle
like 1000 times before

Don't know why I would do this
never found nuthin' good
but the Mrs.like's Kroger
So shop here I would

I had just passed the chicken
no sign of good cheer
when all of the sudden
I saw something near

It wasn't prepackaged
instead it was sealed
in regular clear plastic
could this thing be real?

no signs of solution--
packed fresh, just today!
it was a big ole pork shoulder
with skin on, I say!

I grabbed it quick
before others could see
it was the only one there
And I took it home with ME

at 99 cents per pound
I felt like a king
It will go in the smoker
for a holiday gathering

And be served pulled with some ribs, chicken, and all the fixins

So if you've thought to yourself
Santa's not the real thing
He just might prove you wrong
Next time you're Krogering

Merry Christmas,
ag
