Piquant Habañero & Honey Pork Chops
Categories: Pork, Meat, BBQ, Grill, Main dish Yield: 2 servings 4 ea P ork chops boneless 1" thick 12 oz Beer 3 tb Honey 1 Habañero pepper seeded & minced 1 ts Hot sauce 1 ea Garlic clove minced 2 ea Bay leaves Marinade: Combine beer, honey, pepper, hot sauce, garlic & bay leaves in a small saucepan. Bring a boil then reduce heat. Cover then simmer for 15 mins. Remove from heat then discard bay leaf. Put your pork chops into a 1-gal. plastic bag. Pour marinade over chops rhen seal bag & refrigerate for 2-6 hrs. Drain chops then discard marinade. Put chops onto grill directly over med-hot coals or flame. Grill chops for 4-5 mins. then turn chops. Grill for 4-5 mins. more until chops are done. ORIGIN: Kaz Podowski, Cleveland-OH, circa 2009 |
