Hello,

When do you barbecue? Only in the Summer or also in the other seasons?

Greetz,

Peter

Whenever I feel like it. Well, unless there is a hurricane in the area, but I
have been known to fire up the grill and start a butt or a brisket the following
day. Fed the neighbors since none of us had any electricity.

Barbecueing is a year 'round activity. Actually, I tend to barbecue a little
less in the summer because it's too hot outside.

All year round! There is nothing better than BBQ'ed meat when the snow
is flying and the mercury is dropping.

All year round.... even if I have to shovel a path to the smoker.

Nearly every night, all through the year, mostly grilling during the
week and cooking low-and-slow on weekends.

Year round, whenever possible. I tend to grill during the week, two or three
times. I find that my nine year old's extracurriculars keep me from firing
up every night.

Weekends I usually reserve at least one day for a brisket or a pork butt.
Get the lawn done, or some other such chore, while waiting for the fire to
settle and then enjoy the backyard, the smoke, cold beer, kids playing in
the pool, etc.

I especially like low and slow in the winter, though you "winter" in South
Texas is none too frigid. Still, the crisp air somehow makes the fire smell
better and I even get a chance to wear a sweater once or twice.

Later,
George

When I have to shovel a lot of snow I stop. I do stock the freezer with
bbq, brisket etc. so I'm set in the really band weather months. I put a
brisket into cure tonight and it will become pastrami over the weekend. I'll
cut it into quarters and freeze it.

Mostly mid April to Mid January. The rest of the year I work 16 hours
a day seven days a week and have no time. During that time the food I
Q'd and vacuum sealer is a lifesaver.

I back off when temp gets very cold, [-10-15c], because it is hard on
the equipment.

What part of Calgary you from, Dan?

Well, technichally I am out in Redwood Meadows, but I figure I have a
better chance of people on the Internet having at least heard of
Calgary. :-)
