Duhyou mind saying *where* you are? You can drive to Ocala and get plenty
of good lump, but then if you live in Bimiji, that might not work too well
for ya.

Gosh, Jack, I guess you just weren't paying attention to where the header

He's in Sarasota. Duhg, you can get all the lump you want in Tampa at
the "Outdoor Kitchen Store". First block west of Dale Mabry on Kennedy
Blvd, north side of the street. They sell BGE and Gourmet, both of which
I think come from Royal Oak in Ocala. The Gourmet is $14 and change.
The BGE is quite a bit more expensive. Both come in 40# bags.

In the mid-Atlantic area, Safeway grocery stores carry Lazzari mesquite
lump and Ace hardware stores carry Cowboy. If you've got either of
those chains handy, you may have a source for lump. If they don't have
the items in stock, they should be able to order them for you.

Lazzari is rated as very good on the Naked Whiz site. Cowboy and the
Whole Foods store brand are identical, from what I've read there, and
not so highly rated. I've tried the Whole Foods brand, and it's OK, but
definitely not as good as the BGE and Lazzari brands, for my uses. The
local Ace just got a pile of Cowboy in, so I may grab a bag just to
give it a try. I've noticed that it really sells out fast at around
$7.50 for 20#, so someone must think it's good stuff.

It's just "ok". Some here have had bad experiences with it, but I haven't.

As far as lump goes, it's the bottom of the barrel, but it's vastly superior
to Kingsford or any other briquette.

I'm referring to Cowboy of course.
