Hi Dave
[posted to AFB and attachment e-mailed] I've written before about the new 'Q joint' in town. Owned by a mother/daughter team and allegedly named Big T's after the daughter, Tess. I, however, firmly believe it is named after the mammary glands of the Serving Wenches . . . . Samantha and I tried it [me again, Sam's first visit], today after they had now been open a couple of months. There is a mildly smokey smell in the place of the kind you will find in any self respecting rural bar/dining room in Quebec. Their 'act' is definitely better, but I swear if you yanked off the Servers' snuggies they would all turn out to be genuine blondes! Pretty, but not the sharpest knives in the cutlery drawer. Here's a bad copy of their menu. [attached to e-mail]. It was a ******* size and hard to scan, but gives you an idea. They are a full 'service' and licensed restaurant. Sam had the pulled pork on a bun and said it was surprisingly good, but not anywhere near as good as mine. Lacked something . . . . perhaps like 18 hours on a Kamado. snork .......... I tried an Andouille sausage [Didn't like it. Like a peppered spicy Smokey/Polish Sausage. Totally wrong texture. Their sliced brisket which came out chopped. It was OK quite but over spiced as were Sam's beans. Nice poofy buns, average fries, and mediocre creamy slaw. Sam called it Safeway's slaw. The side of gravy for the fries was very good as were the onion rings. Sam said the brisket was quite juicy but mis-spiced [Tolkien style - 'One spice shall rule them all']. They were busy. I MAY return in a couple more months and try the ribs. Harry |

I look forward to trying the pulled pork, and also closely inspecting and admiring the ladies to see if your reasoning is on in terms of their chosen business name. |
