Default $30k for a grill?!?!

Kinda puts the price of a K into perspective...

High-end grills, with their stainless steel gleam and SUV heft, are what
Americans are increasingly demanding for outdoor cooking. And
they're paying prices unheard-of a decade ago. Most
high-priced grills today range from $1,000 to $7,000.
However, the customized Talos Outdoor Cooking Suite
from Jade's Dynasty line starts at $30,000.

And makes you wonder - for 30 grand you could get a Kamado, a Weber Genesis,
a WSM a Weber Kettle and a Smoky joe, plus you'd have 25 grand and change
left over.

Then again, if you inhereted a couple hundred mil from daddy, or are one of
the few that actually created their own millions, it's chump change I
suppose ;-)

Absolutely; and that $30k number is the *starting* price
for those custom grills.

suppose ;-)

There are probably also a few folks out there that have
decided to take advantage of ballooning home values, and
taken a home equity loan to remodel and figured a $30k
grill was OK (they've probably never done the spreadsheet
and realized that, with interest, the $30k grill becomes
a $90k grill... ;-) )

And such a dweebus will likely as not pay someone else to do all of the
cooking on it for them and never once lift the lid on the thing.

I'm just glad the former UT president didn't know about these...

Well, do you have to include long distance calls in the accounting of
the 30grand? If so you might haveto drop the 'K from the lineup.

It's basically put together modules. They
have everything from 30" carts that hook
together to literally "the kitchen sink". A
bit over the top but I'm sure there are some
willing to go over that top.

First go to the "Outdoor" section at

http://www.jadeappliances.com/jade/jsp/homepage.do

You will see one of these setups under the
Ala Carte Grilling Centers. Click on that
heading and they show you the choice of
modules to put together. I guess you can
have your whole kitchen out there.

Just my bloody luck. They don't export to the UK!

BZZZZTT!!!! Very close, but no cigar.

Fitzgerald: "The rich are different from us."

Hemingway: "Yes. They have more money.

Hmm... - not sure what you're getting at there. But if you're insinuating
that long distance is expensive, get a cell phone. I get unlimitited nights
and weekends and 1200 minutes of daytime calling for $34.99 a month. Don't
even have a long distance provider on the land line anymore.
