I have piles of oak too. Makes for good tasting meat. Did you get yours for free? Most of us have found sources of smoking woods for free by using scraps from cabinet shops, trimmings from local fruit orchards, tree trimming for power lines, and downed branches from storms. Sure beat buying wood doesn't it? I also have scraps from maple, cherry and pecan. Trimmed some apple wood off my tree. Anyone in the CT area can stop by and I'll give you a bag of wood. Do you give yours away too? Ed http://pages.cthome.net/edhome |

How about a Kentucky Bourbon Barbecue Sauce. Any Kentucky Bourbon will work.
Start out by drinking a shot or two of the fine Kentucky Bourbon. INGREDIENTS a.. 1/4 cup Kentucky bourbon whiskey b.. 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce c.. 3 tablespoons catsup d.. 2 tablespoons brown sugar e.. 1 tablespoon lemon juice f.. 2 teaspoons paprika g.. 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 1 clove fresh) METHOD In a small pot, combine bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, catsup, brown sugar, lemon juice, paprika and garlic. Bring to a boil. When boiling, lower heat and simmers 5 minutes, stirring to dissolve and blend sugar. If using fresh garlic, discard clove. Yield: 1/2 cup You can double the ingredients if you want to make more. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Support American Families, Buy Made In USA!
