TFM® Hey, Atkins or no, I'd give up the 3 extra carbs difference between Miller Lite (7 Carbs) and Guinness (10 Carbs), for the taste... ;-) See y'all later today. Looks like my Dad is gonna stay home, though..he's not feeling up for the drive today (besides, if there were TWO of us, we'd probably talk you all to death...) -Chef Juke "EVERYbody Eats when they come to MY House! |

He is supposed to let me know today. I think. Anyway if any of Y'all can make it let me know. I am 3 miles west of I-75 so it is easy to get to. Lets have one even if Juke can't make it. Fats, Jack Curry, BOB, Bob, M&M and whoever else. Jim, Anyone worth their sauce will be cooking in Homestead next weekend for the big bucks! Ricky Ricky, I don't think Chef Juke would have enough time to drive another 350 miles and make it back for his flight. I am sure it will be a good time. Big Jim www.lazyq.com Big Jim? PLEASE don't mention flights right about now. My flight yesterday from Jacksonville to Atlanta was delayed about 1-1/2 hours (while we sat IN THE PLANE on the tarmac), and I missed my connector from Atlanta to Denver. THEN the danged airline folks couldn't decide which airline was responsible for getting me on another flight. They sent me from Terminal C to T to D then back to T and finally C again until they had everything stamped and approved enough to let me get on a plane. then THAT plane was an hour & 15 minutes late leaving. Spent last night (well, from Midnight to 6:00 AM) in the Denver Airport NOT SLEEPING, and was then put on a flight to San Francisco with a 40 Minute layover before finally getting on a flight to Eugene. Got in to town at 10:20 at which point my cellphone rang with a work emergency right as I was finding out that the airlines had no frickken idea where my bag was...... sigh... So I went into work for 3 hours while riding on no sleep in the previous 30 and the airline called to tell me they found my bag and they should be delivering it any moment and I'm so tired I can hardly see straight... BUT... First thing I did when I got home was show my wife the pictures from Big Jims.... GREAT FOOD and even better people! Thanks again and I'll post pics in ALT.BINARIES.FOOD shortly (unless I fall asleep first...) Thanks again, and great meeting y'all! -Chef Juke http://www.chefjuke.com "Everybody Eats when they come to MY house!" (Remove the CAPS from the return address when sending email replies) |

Worst airline nightmare I ever had was getting dumped in Rome for 24 Hours at the expense of KLM and not seeing my bag for a week. Got a nice souvenir picture of the Colliseum though and the airline picked up the bar tab at the hotel. -- M&M ("When You're Over The Hill You Pick Up Speed") |

TFM® Hey all, Okay, got my pictures up...posting them to my website instead of messing around with my newsagent's attachment issues... http://www.chefjuke.com/bigjim Had a great time (although too short) even with the rainy drive back and the horrid travel experience the next day... Thanks again Jim and TFM and everyone... -Chef Juke http://www.chefjuke.com "Everybody Eats when they come to MY house!" (Remove the CAPS from the return address when sending email replies) |
