Default BBQ Question

I have a propane Sunbeam BBQ that I BBQ some AMAZING
steaks and burgers for my wife and I. My wife's been bragging
about my BBQ abilities at church, and she invited 15 people over
on Sunday to sample my BBQ expertise.

The problem is this: How do I BBQ for 17 people?

Do I BBQ hotdogs and burgers so they all fit and finish at the same
time, or do I BBQ steaks and people eat BBQ at different times?

Also, I have a cast-iron BBQ smoker box that I can fill with wood-chips
for flavour, which I know your purists BBQers like, but should I use it???

God, it's good to have you back Dave. I suspect you're getting
tired of hearing that. We lost Hound and he won't be replaced,
but at least you're still around.

First, make sure there's a fresh roll in the loo.

The problem is this: How do I BBQ for 17 people?

BBQ'ing 17 people will take a bigger rig than your typical Sunbeam. Are
they already butchered out or hanging up whole? You might check the
local library for books on this - a guy named Dahmer wrote one I
believe..might have been that guy Gein...I forget...

Do I BBQ hotdogs and burgers so they all fit and finish at the same

Hamburgers must be BBQ'd one at a time. Hot dogs you can do two at a
time. BBQ'd people take longer than hotdogs or hamburgers.

One of those pine-tree shaped deodorizer rear-view-mirror thingies
works much better. Just hang it off of the handle of your BBQ. There
may even be room for two or three.

I disapprove of responding to trolls, and this is far enough down the thread
to not really count.

HAHA. Where was Debbie when I was in high school?

Do it informally, with people eating at different times. Cook burgers
and dogs first, then some steaklets (strip steaks cut into 3 pieces) or
some sirloin tips, then more dogs and burgers, then maybe some salmon,
with grilled veggies available at various times in between (especially
grilled onion and peppers for the burgers and dogs. And sausages! Start
with some fruit salad or some chips and salsa or something, so that
people can munch a little while they wait for the meat.

15 is way too many people to coodinate eating all at once. Do it a
little at a time, as people arrive, and as they get hungry. Feed the
kids first. Have several small tables and groupings of chairs, to
emphasize the informal nature of things.

Don't even attempt to have everything all ready all at once.
