Well guys I know I'm going to get some heat from some or all of you
about buying this grill and not The Egg or something you like. I too prefer
the Santa Maria style pit type with real locally grown red oak. But the cord
I just cut is still wet.
I went ahead and bought the big Costco ss grill and love it. Cooked some
rib eyes, NYs, Chickens, and some carne asada tonight. All with great
results.
I'm not quite sure about the rotisserie yet. The whole chicken I cooked,
kinda tasted like it was boiled.
This thing cost a fair mint, but I'm very happy on how hot it gets and
seers.
Cheers to all

Good luck with it. I think the roto would be your best bet for traditional
low and slow BBQ meat like ribs, brisket, and butt. I bet there's a drawer
or dish somewhere for wood chips.

I haven't tried the roto on mine yet.
There is indeed a drawer for chips, but I probably won't use it; I
have a NBBD for smoking.
I was in Costco yesterday, and it had the SS grills in question on
sale for $399.
We like ours, even if it is gas. :-)
