I bought a Barbeque's Galore Texas Chef charcoal grill about a year and
a half ago, which at the time only came on a pedestal stand. Since then I've been in constant need of a "side-cart" that I could use as not only a work table, but also as a storage area for my tools, chimney starter, and various wood chunks. So far the only carts I've been able to find are meant to double as plant carts with open shelves at the bottom. Instead I'm looking for something that with an enclosed bottom that I can use to protect my supplies from the usual summer thunderstorms. Can anyone recommend a good source for such a beast? Thanks in advance, Plato |

Thanks in advance, Plato I have the Suncast barbecue cart and I love it. It's not huge, but has a work table with a raised shelf for condiments and such. The bottom storage shelves are enclosed by doors. It also has side hooks for tools. It normally goes for around $80, but I just found it at Amazon for $40. http://tinyurl.com/34oyp HTH -- Stan |

I bought that one last year, one of the wheels keeps falling off, the top is impossible to clean (rough surface), and a good stiff wind sends it flying across my deck. I'm looking for something a bit nicer and more stable (teak perhaps?). |

I bought that one last year, one of the wheels keeps falling off, the top is impossible to clean (rough surface), and a good stiff wind sends it flying across my deck. I've found a Corning-type glass cutting board solves the surface problem. And, once it's filled with the usual accessories (charcoal, utensils, etc), it would take a pretty stiff wind to move it. I'm looking for something a bit nicer and more stable (teak perhaps?). I've never seen an outdoor cart of that kind of quality sold in the usual places. You may have to consider honing your own carpentry skills, if that's what you're looking for. Luck. -- Stan |

Best source is the lumber yard. Know anyone that does woodworking? Sketch up what you want and ask about having it built. If you want to a cabinet shop it would be a bit pricey, but I'd do something like that for a friend for the cost of materials. I'd make it out of white oak, cypress, or redwood. Thanks in advance, Plato Plato- Try this plan from my earlier post... metal and tile doesn't burn but, a wood cart might. http://groups.google.com/groups?dq=&...ing.google.com Rob Q 4 all |
