I was reading some other threads (Eggs & Ks with pizza stones and
other NBBD owners have added foil wrapped fire brick with some success). And got to thinking a bit if I put a pizza stone in the cooking chamber would it even out the temps? Is it enough mass? Anyone done this? Or, would it just work as intended for cooking a pizza. Rob Q' 4 all so long as it's not parboiled ribs. |

And got to thinking a bit if I put a pizza stone in the cooking chamber would it even out the temps? Is it enough mass? Anyone done this? Or, would it just work as intended for cooking a pizza. Rob Q' 4 all so long as it's not parboiled ribs. It would help but I don't think that it would have a big effect. For the price, you would be just as well off to use fire bricks or sand. I use six fire bricks in my ECB and it has helped a good bit (as long as I get the bricks warm before I start trying to cook) If you try it, let us know if it works. ag |
