Default Lump Charcoal Review

Go here and look at all the lump charcoals.
http://www.nakedwhiz.com/lumpindexpage.htm?bag

Note the Real Flavor Brand near the bottom is a WAL MART Brand.

So if you want lump for cheap go bug the Wally World near you .

Oh by the way if you pick full unbroken bags the chunks are large
and the stuff works well in my WSM and the Steak Grill.

Happy Season Cook you tail off...Jim

According to the review, it's just re-packaged Royal Oak and it's
usually a lot more money than Royal Oak is (10 lb. bag is usually $5+
and I pay around $9 for 20 pounds of Royal Oak). One more reason not to
shop the dreaded Wal-Mart.

Oh, I agree. I only mentioned it because of the "for cheap" comment.

I've always keep the Wal-Mart lump in mind as a "last resort" but was
surprised to find it priced so high for a store brand from a retailer
known for it low prices.

Wow, I am glad to see the solid review of Maple Leaf. This is the stuff I
have been buying from BBQs Galore and have had pretty good luck with. I
find the bags I buy tend to have a lot of smaller pieces than what the
reviewer had, though.

I found the same thing. I think this has more to do with how the bags are
handled in transport more than anything else. I can easily imaginepeople
throwing and / or dropping them, turnign the nice chunks into little
flakes.
