Default OT: The vegetarian's posts make me cook more meat

I'm rather tired of the vegetarian who posts long pieces here regularly
urging us to not eat meat. It's pointless for him and a waste of all us
omnivores' time since we're not going to change. Starting today I vow to
cook more meat on purpose every week this idiot posts something telling me
meat is bad. I welcome the rest of you to join me in my crusade to stop
this idiot.

Hey Vegetarian, are you listening? Every time you post here you are KILLING
more animals. the best way to save animals is to go away and be a
vegetarian with your buddies. You put up another post or so much as a
single reply I'll cook more meat that week. If I cook more than I can eat
I'll give it to family and friends. Hell, I might throw it away. I might
just step on a lizard in my back yard, too.

In fact I'll be retroactive just to show my mettle. For all the past posts
you thrust upon us without us wanting them I'm going to cook some veal this
weekend. I'm not even that big a fan of baby cow but for you I'll cook some
up. You have now directly influenced an increase in veal consumption. Good
work.

You want to save animals' lives through the actions of alt.food.barbecue
members? Stop posting here, because every time you do it in the future an
animal is cooked as a direct result of your actions. Think about it.

(P.S. - I am serious, and encourage others to join in my crusade. please
cook a little more meat this weekend, and if this idiot posts next week then
cook more meat than you norlamml would until he stops. Preferably pork,
beef and veal.)

Sincerely,
Jason in Dallas

This troll has been here *lots* longer than you have. The majority of the
regular posters here agreed some time ago that it's best if the troll were
just ignored. You and your crusade just give him reason to continue his
trolling.

I don't think it's trying to save animals' lives; it's just a troll who
feeds off of the responses to its posts. The longer the troll thread,
the happier it is.

That being said, I think this is a rather inventive way of responding.

I don't bother to respond to them here anymore but I *do* gleefully consume
every thick, rare, juicy steak I have in the consciousness that I'm glad I'm
not a wacko vegetarian and that somewhere, my acting of enjoying this
cowflesh is ****ing off PETA freaks.

If you'd been here for awhile, you'd know the guy's a troll. It's doubtful
that he even cares about eating meat. Heck, he may even be the biggest meat
eater of us all.

A wise man once told me "never presume to know what the other guy is
thinking."

We don't know that the troll even reads the threads after he starts them, or
that he would alter his posting if the threads weren't responded to. You
also don't know how long I've been lurking here before I've been posting.
You also don't know if the troll might in fact retreat due to my plan.

The Internet is funny like that.

In which case your "message" falls on deaf ears and everyone else still
gets to read more of this drivil. Good thinking.

You also don't know how long I've been lurking here before I've been posting.

Who gives a flying shit?

You also don't know if the troll might in fact retreat due to my plan.

And what an impressive plan it is. You're a genius.

Me too Dave. The man was asked nicely and he basically
ignored the request because he says he knows better.

OK, Jason in Dallas, I'll try again. I don't presume to know what you or
our resident troll are thinking. I do know that the majority of regular
posters on this ng have expressed their opinions concerning responding to
the troll. They have opined that it's best not to do so. If you've lurked
here long, you know that.

We don't know that the troll even reads the threads after he starts
them, or that he would alter his posting if the threads weren't
responded to.

We, the majority of the regular posters on this ng don't care if the troll
reads responses or not. We'd like it to go away. We believe that any
response only encourages it.

You also don't know how long I've been lurking here
before I've been posting. You also don't know if the troll might in
fact retreat due to my plan.

Feel free to carry on with your plan. See where it gets you.

The Internet is funny like that.

Yes, it is.

Yes and I am making PEETA t-shirts for friends. One of my fav
festivals has pork loin sandwiches and all the people working in the
stand wear PEETA t-shirts. I keep waiting for someone to open their
yap-won't do it in person.

Hmmm.. my dictionary definition of "genius" is NOT "top-posting

Good on ya Jason.
I need a little fresh sausage, so I'm gonna stuff 6#. I'll give the extra to
my
friends. P.S. Avoid picnics for sausage. Tastes great but it's a bitch to
grind because of so much connective tissue. I'll use butts next time. Pic's
of my equipment setup on ABF.

If you are serious about irritating PETA try to follow this:

A few yrs. back I was visiting my company HQ which happens to be near the PETA
HQ. It was opening weekend of deer season and the PETA prez had organized a
group of their psychos to go out and harass hunters, scare off deer, etc.

Sun. morning she went out to get the paper and found a rather large, bloody deer
hanging from the rafters with a large pile of entrails underneath. Mon., PETA
had a meeting to "rethink" their approach.
