I'll confirm what some of the others have said. BBQs Galore on Edmonton
Trail in Calgary has them for $279. I was in there on the weekend buying
some lump and they still had 2 -3 in stock, which is a lot lower than the
number they had in stock when I bought mine back in January.

Dan - buy your lump at Can Tire. It is much cheaper and available the
year round. Bunglers have that Mesquite Crap for Tooo much money.

Canadian Tire (for our US friends, this store would be something like a
Pep Boys, I believe -auto parts, tools, housewares etc) has lump !?

I've never seen it but I wasn't really looking. Barbeques Galore has some
pretty high prices and surprisingly low service so if I can get it
elsewhere, I will.

They have it right now at the CT on 36th St. N.E, along with the
cheapo offset smoker I mentioned, and another more compact cheaper
cylindrical smoker.

Rob,

I'm in Calgary and I bought mine from Barbeques Galore. Their store is

a
couple of hundred yards from my office here. Their website is:

http://www.barbecuesgalore.ca

Wanna come and play on a couple of Kamados, Mark? ;o)

What, you got TWO !?

Doesn't everybody? Yes, Harry has two. I have seen them.

No. Some of us have three.

Kevin earned his third one the hard way - he won the Kamado Kook-Off a
couple of years ago.

You know, I have been watching Canadian Tire hoping to find some and I
have never had any luck. Even some of the sales associates either give
me the "What?" look or point me to a bag of Kingsford. I'll look even
closer next time since it sounds like it must be there somewhere.

Thanks!

The Can Tire on Country Hill Blvd had 16 bags three weeks ago - I
bought 6 of them. Just phone and ask them to tickle up their
computers in the Seasonal [Sports'n Stuff] Section. It's a catalogue
item and they can bring them in inside a week. I also use the
Dalhousie Store. The Mgr used to e-mail when my order was in. He got
transferred.

Any more 'local' stuff please got to e-mail, whydontcha ;0)

I wouldn't give Bunglers Galore the sweat off my left nut, especially
if they were dying from lack of moisture.

No, no, no. Never been to a Kamado Kook-Off. I won the #5 in the
Thansgiving Turkey Stretching Into Christmas and Even Then I Had to
Call Them Nearly a Year Later to Get Them to Ship the Prize Kamado
Recipe and Photo Contest.

I've been trying to find a WSM on the Canadian prairies for quite a while
now. Nobody carries them in my city. Is anyone aware of a place I could
buy one online? Amazon and other US sites won't ship to Canada. Failing
that, does anyone know of a place that sells them in either Calgary,
Edmonton, or Winnipeg?

Eagerly anticipating barbecue much more often,
Rob

Thanks

www.johnstones.com in North Vancouver has them for $279.00, can't tell
you much about shipping. They are pretty knowledgeable though, and
might direct you to a more local source.

Weber everything is way more expensive in Canada than in the US - far
beyond simple exchange.

Default WSM in Canada - ON THE WAY!

My big news!!!! The wife ordered one last week for my birthday yesterday
from a Weber retailer in town. It'll be here in 5 weeks!
(which is too long, but I'm thrilled nonetheless!)
This is completely a surprise to me, she's very resourceful...

I thought I saw them in Bunglers Galore in Calgary. There is also a
'privateer' in SW Calgary that has them. I forget the name, but I'll
track it down.
