KT's and Daddy Bruce's both on Arapahoe; KT's at75th and Arapahoe and

Daddy Bruce's at 20th and Arapahoe , both are short on ambiance. Bennett's
is real good Q too but really short on ambiance being in the food court in
the Crossroads Mall 28th and Arapahoe.
I haven't been there but Shorty's in Longmont is said to be real good.

Forget the 'Q'. Go to 'Tom's Tavern' at the west end of the
Boulder mall and a little offset south. Corner establishment.
Buy the hamburger plate for about $8.00 and get Tumescent.
Right across from the Court House is a Greek place. Makes
great filafel sandwiches. Try it you'll like it. Unless they invented
it recently, there're ain't no decent BBQ in Boulder. The
Aristocrat Steak House is a vision of the past. Mom & Pop
turned it over to the next, maybe second generation. He was/is
a bean counter. Business went to hell. Saturday mornig line
around the block dropped to no line. I sure hope that his efficiency
methods are working out for him, but I doubt it.

Tom's is still there and the burgers are still the best in Boulder. Nick's
(aka "the Aristocrat") has been a Gap (or some such) sadly to say for 7 or 8
years now. It was a fantastic place for many years to get huge grill omelets
(Nick's Special was so good your brains would fall out).
There is good Q, but not great Q in Boulder- for that you need to go to
Denver.

Used to eat lunch at the Aristcrat nearly every day. My boss was about
6' tall and 135 Lbs. His favorite was the 6 egg omellette. Don't know how
he could get all of that down. I liked the steaks. About 1/2 Lb with lots of

fries. Grilled just long enough to shut it up. There was an Italian joint
there
somewhere that served killer Calzones. (I worked for NBI in their hayday.)

for almost 20 yrs.
KT's started out in a house almost across the street from NBI.
