Default briquets for gas grills?

I was reading that you can replace the lava rocks in your gas grill with
some gas grill briquets that are made with real wood. This is suppose to be
able to give you the flavor of charcoal. Has anyone ever tried this product
and does it work?

Waste of money. Might work once or twice but otherwise a waste.
