Hey Dave,
Another great source for spice blends is Grill Thrill Seasonings. Take a peek and see if it fits your style. http://www.grillthrill.com -- Kenneth Palmer Managing Partner Grill Thrill Seasonings, L.L.C. Sent them-Outdoor Cooking Store- a message suggesting carrying wood burning smokers-none are on their web site - know that area and there are some people with money around there. As far as rubs go-suggest you experiment with making your own rubs-really simple-way too much salt and sugar in most rubs. Just ordered more paprika and ground chile powder from Pendery's www.penderys.com Great prices and they have more and different formats of chile's that I have ever seen anywhere. They have a really great section in their free catalog titled, "The Intoxicating CAPSICUMS" which tells the story of those great little peppers. Don't they have the Life Thyme (sp?) ones? Or do those just burn lump? I took home their house brand rub and the bone sucking rub just go give them a try, but you are right, you can replicate/outdo a lot of them yourself. I buy from www.penzeys.com for most of my cooking spices, and their are at least dozen either straight spices or blends that would make great rubs by adding little of this an' that. Pendery's looks like they carry more peppers. I'll have to give them a try. Dave |

The directions specify adding at least 3 ingredients not mentioned in the ingredient list (Grill Thrill seasoning, lemon zest and red pepper) that I found on a quick reading. You need to put more attention into the web site. |

Is this the guy who threatened some sort of vague legal action if we didn't stop interferring with his business? googlegooglegoogle Nope, that's not Kenneth. This is: "Maybe we can get together and sit down and trade resumes. Maybe you have been a chef for tren years, I don't know. But I have. If you listen up, you might learn something from me and my associates." So far, all I've learned is the URL to his web site. Maybe I missed all of the posts in which he shared the many lessons learned over those ten years of chefifying. Then there's this to consider: "I am not here to sell, just make cooking friends. I guess you aren't one of them until you decide to come out and start talking about food." Kenneth, I'll be your cooking friend. And only a very good cooking friend would tell you what I'm about to tell you. ALL YOU EVER HAD TO DO TO ADVERTISE YOUR WEB SITE WAS PARTICIPATE IN NEWSGROUPS BY POSTING USEFUL, HELPFUL, INTERESTING INFORMATION. AT LEAST SOME OF US WOULD'VE CLICKED ON THE LINK IN YOUR .SIG. -- Kevin S.
