A pal lives there--this, from our latest email exchange, will explain
why I ask:
(me)
*Um. Please, please, please do NOT refer to what Tony Roma's does to ribs as barbecue.
*

That should give you a good idea of just how desperate the situation
for barbecue is around here.

So--got some suggestions? IS it as bad there as he thinks?

Theres a joint on E. Colfax called Jimbos or Bobs a few blocks east of
Monaco on the north side of the street. Its in the building that used
to be the Hangar bar I think. Its been open about a year now.

The sign has a pig in an apron and the tag line is "Put some south in
your mouth."

I've never eaten there, but a friend has. He says its authentic bbq
and that its good, but I can vouch for his review or idea of what real
bbq is. I drive past there everyday on my way to work and always
wonder why I havent stopped in yet.

"These animals evacuate ethyl alcohol from their bowels and carbon dioxide from their urinary organs. Thus, one can observe how a specially lighter fluid is exuded from the anus and rises vertically whereas a stream of carbon dioxide is ejected at very short intervals from enormously long genitales."
