If anyone's interested:

The Great Outdoors Grill Co. Smoky Mountain Gas Smokers are on sale at the
Menards stores in the Twin Cities, MN. for $99 and change. The model is 3605
G. Looks to be about 16" wide.

It is an unadvertised special.

Bob

If anyone has experience using one of these in the winter (0 to 40 degrees)
maybe you could post your recommendations.

That Great Outdoors smoker can get pretty hot, easily up to 300F. This would
allow you to smoke, I would think, at 225F with the burner on high when the
temp.is less than 40F. As we all know, smokers have no insulation from
outdoors to inside the smoker. Having grown up in the midwest I know what
it's like to try to grill in the winter.
I knew John Menard in the old days and graduated from high school the same
year as he. He is now the 35th wealthiest individual in the U.S. He drives a
used pickup truck, I am told.

Does John launch into completely unrelated subjects and
conversations out of the blue, too?

John Menard is too busy. He doesn't sit around with his finger up his ass
thinking about the meaning of life as we all on this NG do.

ObFood: A local, respected BBQ joint here in Austin tried to pass
off pork butt country-style ribs as pork loin country ribs. And
it worked, but only because I didn't look at the to-go order until
I got home.
