Anyone got one of these and wish to review it for us?? http://tinyurl.com/etl8j Sure. PRO: The tiny URL does the job it is intended to do, which is to direct your browser to the site with an unwieldy, long URL. Moreover, the tiny URL is a well-formed and WWW3 compliant URL. CON: As with all of its brethren, this tiny URL doesn't give you any idea where you will be going if you click on it, which may cause embarrasement or worse if you are browsing on the job or in a public venue (cf. goatsx). CONCLUSION: I'd give that tiny URL 80 points out of 100. It has a good beat, and you can dance to it. -- If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace, but we would be hollow. I prefer http://makeashorterlink.com/ for that reason but it seems to me like you're a little more than slightly paranoid. I understand the need for caution on the net, but for "regulars"? A little over the edge me thinks. Here's an example of a like from MASL, it shows what the link resolves to before going to it. http://makeashorterlink.com/?Y25921ABD -- Steve |

Piedmont said, "Anyone got one of these?" yet the only thing visible in his post was a tinyURL. He then asked, "and wish to review it for us?" Again, the only thing visible in his post was a tinyURL. So I reviewed the tinyURL. We in the Industry refer to such things as Jokes (tm). -- If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace, but we would be hollow.
