Hi All,
Salted bagels are one of my favorite snacks. Except that salted bagels are seldom available at the bagel shop near me. My plan is to purchase white bagel salt and add the salt to the top of the plain bagels. I like to warm the bagels just before eating them. How do I "attach" the salt to the top of the bagels? Is there a coating of some sort that would do this? Thanx, Keybored |

Hi: I would brush water over the bagels, sprinkle the salt, and heat in a
toaster oven. After the water has evaporated, I think that you will find the salt to adhere well. Joe "Key Bored" wrote in message ... Hi All, Salted bagels are one of my favorite snacks. Far as I can tell, someone wrote:

I own a bagel shop, and of coarse I salt mine before proofing, but whatever makes the salt stick will be great. Also, you could ask the bakery to par-bake and freeze a tray of plain bagles for you, so you could then take them home, wet and salt them, (just dunk them completely in warm water), dab them into the salt and complete baking them. Use simple pretzel salt. Many bagel shops would prolly be willing to sell you a pound or two for very little money. Dave Beach Bum Bagels 4580 Gulf Breeze Parkway Gulf Breeze, Fl. 32563 |

So you don't boil your bagels I presume?
