Oh pshaw, on Sat 26 Jan 2008 11:50:14a, james meant to say...
http://monkeebidness.com/thing.jpg I don't know why I have it. I don't know what it is other than it's a cable with a stereo plug on one end and what appears to be a light on one end with velcro I'm not sure why you're posting it in rec.food.baking... But I believe it is used in conjunction with infrared remote control in either with either audio or video equipment. I had a similar device that was plugged into a special jack on the back of my TV. The other end was placed in from of the infrared received on the front of my VCR. Using this I could automatically schedule recordings from the TV Guide signal that was picked up by my TV. The scheduing was done from the TV and transmitted to the VCR. -- Wayne Boatwright ******************************************* Date: Wednesday, 12(XII)/26(XXVI)/07(MMVII) ******************************************* Today is: Boxing Day (U.K.) ******************************************* I feel like I'm trapped in a Hemingway story. If I get any more cryptic, I won't be able to talk at all. ******************************************* |

I wasn't admonishing you, just curious why you would post that here. You
might get a wider response from rec.antique.radio+phono. Despite that it's name is "antique", they cover a broad range of other electronic issues. BTW, you don't have to subscribe to a group to read and post there. FWIW, I'm fairly sure my answer is correct. On Sat 26 Jan 2008 12:48:47p, james told us... Snip previous I'm posting it here because this is one of my subscribed groups. I didn't know what the thing was so I figured that one way or the other someone in any or the other would know what the thing was. and that I am a member of this group and mostly just look, so would sombody else. You for instance. I'm not sure why you're posting it in rec.food.baking... But I believe it is used in conjunction with infrared remote control in either with either audio or video equipment.
