I would appreciate any information regarding preparation and the
delicious sauce served with this dish. The sole proprietor in our area is understandably keeping his familys secrets. The recipes I have found on the internet thus far do not compare to what I assume is the real deal. |

There are many "sauces" served with "Lumpia". Which one did you like ? What did it look/taste like ? |

There are many "sauces" served with "Lumpia". Which one did you like ? What did it look/taste like? Indo, Thankyou for asking, The sauce is a medium consistency (neither thick or thin) with a dark caramel color with toasted sesame seeds. It is not sweet or sour which is all too common, but rather earthy and slightly spicy. I detect chili and sesame oil and perhaps some soy sauce but theres another ingredient that gives it a richness that may be the result of a reduction of possibly mushroom juices? I would be interested in any sauce recipes for lumpia you would like to share. my thanks again , damamasan |
