If not too late....
Indeed try the real thai food and not the americanised thai. My recommendations - Green curry with chicken - Beef salad (ask the waiter for not spicy if you not like spicy) - Papaya salad - Steamed fish (thai style... if no steamed fish in the menu, be carefull as steamed fish should be made from fresh fish only) - tom ka kai -- thai chicken soup with coconut milk. again ask for your preference in spices. For the last one.... cook your own..... http://www.mcdang.com/eng/Thaicuisine/Tc7.asp is a very good recipe I (dutch guy) cooked for thai people and they where astonished..... Just give it a try... make sure if you mix the chicken broth with the coconut milk, they are at the same temperature, otherwise it will start to shift..... My email is a real, you can send mails there, but there's a heavy spam filter on it because its my address to use in mailgroups. Enjoy the thai food, and please send me recipes if you have... thai, chinese indian, malay and indonesian.... --------------= Posted using GrabIt =---------------- ------= Binary Usenet downloading made easy =--------- -= Get GrabIt for free from http://www.shemes.com/ =- |

I prefer Mu Gratiem Prikthai, Peppery Garlic Pork. - Papaya salad Som Tam is almost always spicy, but great on a hot afternoon! - Steamed fish (thai style... if no steamed fish in the menu, be carefull as steamed fish should be made from fresh fish only) Stuffed squid is also great, as are any of the Deep-fried Fish, and another of my favorites, Pla Doog Pad Ped, Stir-fried spicy Catfish, crispy style. - tom ka kai -- thai chicken soup with coconut milk. again ask for your preference in spices.
