Just about to pursue one of these. I am told by a neighbour that his
father's Chinese partner insists, absolutely, that an Asian version is mandatory - none of this Western rice cooker stuff for her. That being the case, what Asian ones are sold? All I know about are Kambrook, GE etc etc. I didn't know there was a specifically Asian electrical products line in anything. Ready to be illuminated.... -- Hoges in WA Remove the zeds. |

All are Japanese, I believe (I'm not sure about Tiger, but it's very commonly found in Japan so I assume it's Japanese). My parents used a National for 20-some years (the same one), then a smaller National for maybe 10, now we've been using a Tiger that I brought back from Japan (it's 10 years old, too). They're all very good quality machines. rona -- ***For e-mail, replace .com with .ca Sorry for the inconvenience!*** |

BTW there is nothing wrong with American brands (Rival, Hamilton Beach etc) , except everything is made in Asia regardless of the brand. |

The Japanese brand ZOJIRUSHI - Neuro Fuzzy is on the top of my list. It cooks brown rice the best! Thanks, Marilyn Donato Author Philippine Cooking in America http://philamcookbook.com |
