Hello,

I had "Cha Ca Chay" at a Vietnamese restaurant...

Can anyone explain what is inside the nori roll ?

I thought they sounded familiar when I posted my respose, and then I
realized those were the rolls you posted the other day in
alt.food.binaries.

I looked at the pics again and I stand by my word ;-) I don't you
what your folks do there in Belgium for Vietanamese food, but I've
never seen those things on this side of the ocean. I've never seen
anything Vietnamese wrapped in nori or wet/fresh seaweed.

-swe (almost hoping somebody will prove me wrong)

I never saw this in Belgium either ;-) !
This was eaten 45km away from my house in Germany !!

Lots of seaweed rolls, tofu rolls and LOT (?) in the
vegetarian section (the largest I ever saw) !
Difficult to know the exact content by the description...

I'm trying to get my Thai daughter to make some nori wrapped egg rolls or
spring rolls. Pix on a.b.f if she does. ;-)



Lots of nori layers were used and a great tasting hash/paste !
