Default salt content in fish sauce

I just though I would pass this on to all of you: I was buying another
bottle of fish sauce and I happened to notice that Tiparos has only HALF the
salt content of other brands check it out

Hello, joel!

Might be useful but I suspect many of the contents lists on
imported condiments are arrived at by guessing and hand-waving
and should be treated with the same respect as the sell-by
dates.

I'm not for over-kill on the amount of salt used to preserve food, but
would not the preservative/preservation of the sauce be dependent on the
amount of salt that were used?

I thought that there would be a standard for use of salt in this product for
safety reasons.
Any comments welcome.
