Sounds like a homemade version of lemon-lime Jello® to me and most
kids I know love Jello®.

I don't know of any who do. My daughter often asks for it when we see it
made up at the store because she thinks it's pretty. But then she spits it
out once she gets it in her mouth. None of her friends like it either.

I wouldn't eat it as a kid because I regarded it as "sick" food. Pretty
much the only time we got it at home was when we were sick.
